Nurturing Dreams is a newly opening daycare in the West Fargo area. If you enjoy working with children and providing a fun, safe, and educational environment for young minds, this is the job for you! Nurturing Dreams is in search of qualified workers to care for children throughout the day. A good candidate for this position would be able to engage children in play that helps promote their social and emotional growth.  They would also be good at designing activities that encourage children to develop independence. This job will help you develop skills that can benefit you both in your personal life and in future careers in child development. 

• Supervise children in all daily activities, including play time, outside time, craft time, and during meals 
• Plan daily activities that help children learn through play
• Create and follow a routine within your classroom for children to follow
• Assist children with personal cares, such as toileting and diapering
• Ensure children learn to work together through the use of interactive games and activities designed to encourage cooperation and problem-solving 
• Foster children’s sense of independence by providing them opportunities to nurture their interests
• Complete all trainings required by the state of ND required to work in a daycare center 
• Communicate children’s daily activities to parents and address behavior issues with them if they arise

 Required: 

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, stand, and sit as necessary
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check 

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPR and First Aid certified (paid certification opportunities provided upon hire) 
• At least 1 year experience working with children 
• Excellent interpersonal skills

This job will help you develop skills that can benefit you both in your personal life and in future careers in child development.
